A TEN ALPHAS FILMS Production
After a long time apart, local no-hoper John must connect with reserved schoolboy Jack over a weekend in an insular suburb in Western Sydney. However, Jack’s attempt to re-establish their relationship is threatened as John's self-destructive nature emerges.
Mate had its world premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2022, where it became the first Australian film ever to win the International Grand Prix, and was longlisted for the 2023
Oscars.
